Yoga Nidra is often referred to as Yogic Sleep or Transformational Rest and it is a progressive meditative relaxation technique that naturally slows your brainwave states to those similar in sleep. This meditation style is effortless so you can rest easily and deeply into a space where thoughts are free to come and go and you can feel fully relaxed and well-rested. Throughout the practice, you’re consciously providing extra comfort and relaxation throughout the physical, mental, and emotional body soothing the brainwaves to regulate into a resting, calm, peaceful state that has been shown to help with insomnia, stress, grief, depression, anxiety, and symptoms from PTSD.
